A Closer Look: Sinorice Moss
It’s fourth and long for Sinorice Moss.
He’s in his fourth season, and he has a long way to go to make an impact. What kind of year will he have? I’ll get to that soon. First a review.
We all know that his first year was ruined by his injury. He had 5 receptions for 25 yards in 06. His second year, in which Big Blue went to the Super Bowl, he caught 21 passes for 225 yards. He again was injured and missed all postseason games. Last season he did catch everything thrown his way for 12 receptions 153 yards, and 2 touchdowns.
Maybe he turned the corner? (Bare with me here)
Due to his injuries it took Moss awhile to get the hang of the system. More importantly was the number’s game.
With Plaxico and Amani, there was no way Moss was going to get the majority of catches in his first three seasons. Sure he had a shot at the slot, but with Steve Smith; despite his injuries, having such a good rookie year, it was hard for Moss to get time last year.
So let’s see here, 07 was really his rookie season due to injury. He had the most catches he has had in any season that year, but missed the playoffs where Smith shined.
With Plax, Amani, and Steve Smith in the mix last year, Moss was the fourth receiver.
At this time Moss is scheduled to be the third receiver on the team, working in the slot.
To answer the question, what kind of season will he have? I am guessing a good one. Why?
Because this is his last shot and he knows it.
It’s fourth down and time for him to make a play. A play for the first down. A play for the team.
A play for his job.
